Background
BDR HYDROCOOLERS was incorporated in 1990 and is a family-owned and operated business. We believe that price does make a difference and take pride in supplying the local market with affordable, durable, neat looking, quality water dispensers to suit most requirements. Our dispensers all carry a one year guarantee on workmanship and we service and repair our machines at our factory in Kempton Park. We have over the years supplied our products to some of South Africa's top companies, as well as mines, hospitals, Government departments and Industries. Our exports are mainly to Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Angola.
Company Environment
The main activity of the company is sheet metal fabrication and the sales and distribution of water dispensers and purifiers, some of which are imported. Employees receive on-going, in-house training and are trained to be fully conversant with their specific job description as well as exposure and training in at least one other facet of manufacturing. 73% of our employees are black and of which the majority have been with the company for 10 or more years. One of these employees has been promoted to the position of Sales Manager for the company.
